Having turned back the package version to 25.0.3-1, I can confirm
deadlock works in that instance, maybe this should be labeled a
different regression? I also can confirm with no other system changes,
deadlock does fail to run on 25.0.4-1/25.0.5-1.

Well, it looks like the issue has been apparently resolved in mesa 25.0.5-1.
After updating, everything is running smoothly again, no more repeated game
launches or cryptic errors.
