Just to confirm that the issue was not caused by the upgrade of SDL,
it was a permissions thing.
I run qemu once with sudo and this must have changed some permission
that only allowed root access from then on. Launching a VM with
virt-manager/libvirt fixes it and let me run again as normal user.
After coming back from suspend I got the same error with the
downgraded version (2.32.2+dfsg-2).
Since now I am getting the error with both version I would say this
bug can be closed. This will need some more investigation from my
side.
