I'm not familiar enough with lua to be comfortable making that change
myself, so tagging with help. It would seem preferable to try to use
the latest version of lua and then forward any needed changes upstream.

Please build your package with lua5.1 so we can drop v5.2 from the archive.
The build system supports it as fallback but you can certainly also try
patching to a more up to date lua version.
