The above method of creating users is apparently missing something.
After swapping out the bookworm main server against a bullseye main
server I have been able to log into student/teacher accounts from
the same bookworm workstation. So bookworm workstations seem to be
configured and working correct
After examining this further, I've found that the Kerberos add_principal
operation in /usr/share/debian-edu-config/tools/gosa-create actually
fails. The script doesn't notice that since kadmin.local always returns
an exit staus of 0:

Currently authentication of student/teacher users on a workstation does
not work.

- currently it is not possible to create a student/teacher via gosa due to bugs
