the problem seems to be with the node_sockjs package.
If I replace the directory/files under /usr/share/nodejs/sockjs with the
corresponding JS files created with npm from the official sockjs sources from
github, the shiny-server works.
npm uses CoffeeScript 1.12.7, Debian uses version
