this is just a "me too".
i have a number of packages that take exceedingly long to build (~1h).
being able to quickly inject local overrides would help a lot with
getting the overrides-files right.

I find myself frequently in the position that I am trying to override a
lintian warning or a lintian error but have to experiment a bit until I
