this daemon.", so i just did. But the daemon still ran under root, so
This bug seems fixed with latest update, i cannot reproduce it anymore.

I dont know, because manually i use apt-get and synaptic for all my
needs. apper is installed, but i couldnt detect the package name of
the "system updater" from the process list, so i dont know, i'm new to
kde, sorry.

First, i'm sad, noone reacted for nearly a week.
Second, a minute ago i incidentally found a more specific cause of the
bug: the plasma-desktop crashes directly after i click on the "software
updater" icon in the "system tray" and the "getting updates, querying"
appears. And despite i get a n
I mean it crashes every time it was started automatically by kde or i
start it by hand from the console, exactly 6 minutes after.
I've attached my update log previously with the update times and my
reboot times and the time the bug appeared, to see which packages was
updated.

please make a backport as this bug is in debian-stable.
And please dont make the plugin crash when invalid data is recieved
because after every crash the user needs to delete and readd the plugin
AND REDO THE WHOLE SETUP. Please display an error icon instead or if
you dont want to draw a ne

Got a backtrace in the logs, dont know if it's the cause of the effect
of the bug, anyway i'm attaching it:

Will DVMT always get the memory requested?
DVMT may not always get the memory being requested. It is up to the
operating system to decide whether the request for additional memory
will be granted or not.
The ssd i'm using in that machine is:

Nice idea, i searched for this "oom" thing (btw it means: out of
