This should be fixed with a newer release.
Can you move to 24.8.0?

Upgrading txtorcon to the latest version (23.11.0) should fix this problem, it
does not happen there for me.
I have attempted to repeat this on a non-testing Debian system using Python
version 3.11.6 (which is what trixie reports as current) and the tests all pass
fine.
Is there some procedure I can use to repeat this? Is this "just a Debian thing"
and there's nothing I can do directly in txtorcon?
t could won't be imported in python2 so it
should be fine to delete it / not ship it in a python2 package.
(That's currently the ONLY python3 code). If there's a better way to
accomplish this, I'm happy to change txtorcon.

I am not a Debian developer myself, but let me know if there's anything
txtorcon can change to help...
Yes, Petter is absolutely correct that the code is wrong. I have filed a
ticket in txtorcon, see https://github.com/meejah/txtorcon/issues/179
Thanks!

txtorcon version 0.14.2 should fix this issue, which is a compatibility
thing between two different Twisted releases.
