Disabling the entire adwaita directory did indeed create problems with
some needed functional icons. So the parent directory is now enabled
and just the adwaita/cursor directory neutered. This is a workaround
but not a proper solution.

In Xfce (not tested elsewhere) the DMZ (white) mouse icon theme is
forced to Adwaita within the game itself. Confirmed by another user,
If I try to remove Adwaita theme, it wants to take most of the Desktop
with it. I only managed to be able to use the DM
