Hi,
can confirm this bug with stretch now being stable.
This should be fixed fast as it results in brute-force protection for
Dovecot being inactive.
Workaround is to add the correct logpath into jail.local:
logpath = /var/log/mail.log
(I wouldn't use auth.log, not every fail is logged there.)
I forgot to update libvirt while testing earlier. Updated libvirt-daemon-system
(libvirt-daemon) from 3.0.0-4 to 3.5.0-1 from Buster and can no longer
reproduce the issue.

This appears to be related to kernel changes? At least on my end.
I have no issues starting multiple VMs while running 4.9.0-3 on Stretch.
However, I get the Spice error on 4.11.0-1, installed from Buster on top of a
mostly-Stretch system.
It works again after downgrading the kernel, and brea
sorry, but this annoying bug is not fixed for debian stable.
please reopen.
Hi,
we experienced this bug again today and a few weeks ago.
(Jan Prunk, who opened this bug, works with us on this issue)
we were running Xen 4.4.4 and Debians linux-image-amd64
3.16.7-ckt20-1+deb8u4 during both crashes.
now we updated to 3.16.7-ckt25-2, but i doubt this will help, as Ingo
