When exercising emails in KMail2, the server will crash out.
Brings up box to "start" it.
Restarts by itself, box disappears
Note: Can duplicate this by stopping server via akonadiconsol
Has been OK recently, after various Sid upgrades to KDE and Xorg.
Every shutdown will down a failure to umount /var and /home.
To compensate for the awful installation partitioning, I had some /var stuff
bound to folders on /home. Then, of course, this behavior was to be expected
(though they should have been "unbound" at this point).

This is a corollary to #754389 for imapd!
Messages are left on /var/mail/username by kmail (leave on server NOT
checked!).
Bug may be, most likely is kmail not issuing delete/expunge. But

If messages were routed to local inbox, they doubled. Other inboxes they
simply repeated.

Messages not being left on server. Problem of their untimely return is only on
"local folders->inbox." If I feed them to a different one, all is fine.

"Leave on server NOT checked." I delete retrieved messages, they come right
back. At least they are not "ghosts."

Seems conclusive, that though the expunge option is checked in the imap
account configuration, the expunge is not being done. This could be an
"important" bug since it renders use of imap less than practical. Gma
