I would like to generate by update-menus my customized toolbar for IceWM
(1.3.7~pre2-1+b1), but I can't use any "icon" entry from menu file to folder
(section) items.

In both 2.3-2 (Debian package) and 2.4-alpha2 (sources from mercirual,
25.06.2010) problem doesn't exist. I don't remember, how long time ago
this problem has disappeared.

in version 1.3.6-1 I cannot reproduce hiding taskbar. Right-click on
free taskbar space gives expected menu.
Now I see another strange behaviour: taskbar hides only if
touches/covers any window and mouse pointer leave it in the area of
touching/covering. See video recording on

OK, I have edited editor's desktop file:

This does not update EXIF thumbnail, but shell command

I missed this basic step, sorry.
After commenting out all entries in preferences file and then
uncommenting entry by entry, turns out that critical is AutoHideDelay=0.
Minimal preferences file to reproduce at my Debian sid:

Taskbar disapperars "on
