Problem solved by updating the BIOS to a newer (more recent) version. There's no need to install i8kutils, as the fan seems to be working normal. Dell Vostro 3560 OS: Debian Jessie (testing) Solution: updated BIOS from A15 to A17 (A16 was the one responsible for fixing thermal functions). Thanks
