Dear Maintainer,
When using MariaDB multiple instances the upgrade process shows errors
stopping/starting mysql and the servers are not restarted. Would be great if

Dear Maintainer,
After upgrading from Jessie to Stretch I was unable to get my multi-instance
mySQL setup working using the installed .service files.
I have a machine with
Package: dpkg
Version: 1.13.25
Severity: normal
In transferring a package list from one machine to another using
--get/set-selections, I noticed that the spamassassin package didn't get
installed. A quick test on the command line showed this:

In the /etc/init.d/dovecot script, the "start" option processes the

A simple change to update-exim4.conf allows the use of dsearch (and others)

I am happy to confirm that this worked as described with the 4/3/2007 amd64
businesscard daily build - detected both the CD and the hard drive when
generic.all_generic_ide was set.
Many thanks for your time.

Could you please try again with the current version of the installer from

I've retried the i386 USB install using the 10th Feb 2007 daily build images
and cannot duplicate the problem - either it was a temporary glitch or I did
something wrong with the original install. I am closing this bug.

Thanks Bob,
I use ls -l -time-style=+%Y-%m-%d so the issue with the locale/legacy date
isn't an issue. Still I take your point, splitting on whitespace rather than
each space character would be more reliable.
I will close this bug as the change is obviously by design

Hi,
I have been unable to install Etch on a Core 2 Duo machine with the Intel
DG965SS
I had the same issue with the Intel DG965SS motherboard - CD was unable to
be detected. I had to do a USB install to get Debian installed.
