the cron script
/etc/cron.weekly/dhelp produces tons of error messages and sends them via email.
Such mail looks as follows.

I recently upgraded from Lenny to Squeeze and got back what I always had,
adding the line
test -e /usr/include/X11/bitmaps/root_weave && xsetroot -bitmap
/usr/include/X11/bitmaps/root_weave
to the file /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup. May be that this is a workaround for you, too.
`root_weave' looks
ni
considered only.

I checked the new Debian package.
For short, no progress with respect to my problem.
Dvdisaster is still playing with the SCSI writer without reason, crashing the
Adaptec controller.
Below are the test results.

Patched means here, that the quick hack below has been applied.
