The i386 version of in both unstable and experimental incorrectly installs a
64bit (rather than 32bit) executable:

Fyi, I uninstalled ndiswrapper-dkms and attempted to compile with
m-a -f a-i ndiswrapper and am still seing the same problem, which
leads me to suspect the bug is actually in ndiswrapper-source instead.
Probably this was obvious to the developer, but I originally suspected
some black magic in dkm
You may want to try to install ndiswrapper 1.55 from source per the
instructions
on the Wiki (http://wiki.debian.org/NdisWrapper), which for me seems to
have
fixed this issue. It would of course be better to get the new version
into Debian
if possible.
