Yes, and the animation for the hot corner in Gnome activates. But
nothing else works.

breakage would fix itself. I eventually gave up and set up a
fresh install of Jessie today, and all was well until the desktop froze after I
installed gnome-do and tried to launch it for the first time. After
uninstalling it, I've had no continued problems.
