When I installed the ri package, it did not also suggest that I install
ruby2.1-doc as well. Given that the ri package depends on ruby2.1, not
having
ruby2.1-doc listed as at least a suggested package resulted in me having to

pre-existing archive whenever a verifying append or concatenate is
attempted and the same old behavior still exists. Here is a script that
