apparently, X2go works on the release version of debian 12.
I've tested with the desktop environment MATE.
glx keeps to be broken, (glxinfo, ... private request) but that seems
to be a known issue on almost all platforms (fedora, ubuntu).
imho, the bug report can be closed.

thank you very much for confirming the problem.
I have also tried with the cinnamon desktop and this also failed to work
properly with (an updated) debian-testing. In addition i tried with a
linux mint release (21.1) and mate which worked fine.
