thanks for the backtrace. Could you also try running conky in valgrind
and attach any errors it discovers? I don't know if one needs any
special setup on debian, but normally just running "valgrind conky"
would suffice (you need conky with debug symbols).

could you get a backtrace of the crash. The error message is quite
bizarre, and without some more information I cannot possibly fix it. You
can also try running it in valgrind and see if it shows any useful
information.
