I put my laptop to sleep this morning, and on waking it up this
evening the network didn't come back. I tried ifdown/ifup, restarting
/etc/init.d/networking, and removing and reinserting the card. To get
the network back I eventually had to reboot.

Thanks -- that fixes half the problem. I can boot into 2.6.

I'm seeing this same bug, I believe. I've tried running
# /etc/acpi/sleepbtn.sh
# /etc/acpi/sleep.sh
# /usr/share/acpi-support/suspendorhibernate suspend
and all three have no effect. By adding a call to the syslogger to
suspendorhibernate, I was able to confirm that Fn-F4 on my Thinkpad

I'm still seeing this problem, reported in June, in querybts. For
icedove, it's gotten worse, so that I can't see the bug report numbers
at all, and much of the short bug descriptions is being cut off:
Select a bug to read the report:

Just to update. I tried a reinstall of python-pyogg and
python-pyvorbis, and that seems to have fixed the problem. Perhaps
the python upgrade didn't search for installed packages from a
previous version.

The version of gcc-doc in sid currently depends on gcc-4.1-doc, which
doesn't exist. This makes the package uninstallable, and leaves users

For whatever reason, reportbug isn't letting me report this -- the

I'm not sure if this is a problem in apt or in aptitude (I'm guessing the
