xfe fails to browse an nfs mounted dir for which I have extended group
permissions. The root NFS dir is displayed, but any attempt to select a
subdir is responded to with an dialog box with test "Error" and
"Permission to :/path.. denied". Interes
We think the problem is in digest-md5 and not in libmd5 as the same
failure occurs in a perl script that directly uses digest-md5.

If you add a comment with at least 72 characters on line 2 of file md5.t
in the "t" directory, the build succeeds!
There is evidence that padding the file in subsequent lines may also
make the build succeed.
