Analyzing a file with lots of end of lines (0x0A) lets file consume minutes of
CPU time.
Time consumption depends on CPU.
Debian 4.0 with file version file-4.17 is not affected.

Bug can be closed. It was my fault...RTFM!
I misinterpreted resolvconf. I added additional nameserver
to /etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/base rather than /etc/network/interfaces
with dns-nameservers. The dnsmasq update script didnt found the nameservers
so I thought the directory should be /etc/re

dnsmasq update script for resolvconf uses /lib/resolvconf/list-records.
list-records needs /etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d as current directory.
