I extraced the first 500k, but they are actually played back without
problems. So I think the problem is the ID

Just for the records. Upstream knows about this bug, at least there is
a similar bug report at
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=318300. Attached to this
report is a patch, but until now it seems the bug is being ignored
by upstream.
