When copying a file to a remote directory which does not exist, the
error message "Is a directory" is misleading and can be confusing to
users. For example,

In my terminal prompt where the colour is set away from the default for
the command text as well as the prompt, 'cal' prints the text up to the
current date in my chosen colour, and then reverts to the default
colour. For the one-month view, this behaviour is not a
