can stay as unfixed, sorry for the confusion.

participating in this thread to confirm (You can see my participation

Hi,
I can now confirm this as fixed as I noticed the udev packages just
got pushed to testing. Thanks.

Hi,
Not until the relevant packages are pushed to testing.

Hi,
I'm not sure what you mean by pushing but the scenario I see is the
problem that someone may install
phonon-backend-gstreamer expecting it to work, but since it has no
dependancy on either
gstreamer1.0-alsa or gstreamer1.0-pulseaudio the would not be able to
switch devices with Phonon
because
Hi again,
Also note downgrading gconf2 to stable brought additional problems for me
so I put gconf2 back to testing, sorry for all the messages.
Kitty
Hi,
Please disregard the information about packages breaking I seem to have
some other issue at work that may be completely unrelated. Downgrading the
packages as I noted above does fix the warning though.
Kitty
Hi,
I've recently encountered this error as described by the bug reporter. This
error needs to fixed asap in my opinion. Many of my programs seem to run
gconf2 postinst when the gonf2 fails they get marked as broken by aptitude.
See below:
$ sudo aptitude reinstall pidgin
The following packages
ort /etc/cron.hourly)
I don't really see anything here that could be causing a problem.

Hi,
I've looked into the complete syslog and I cannot see any other messages
from laptop-mode-tools besides the ones I have posted. I've checked my
other log files and found no such spam in them or any extra events. Any
advice on finding what might be the cause is appreciated so far I can find

Hi,
Please note I got the versions wrong in my first bug post the numbers
should be 3.3.4 and 3.3.3 not 1.3.4 and 1.3.3.

Hi,
I've applied the following patches from the upstream bug report linked in
this bug report (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309464). To the
source package of the current version:
https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/kdemultimedia/kmix/repository/revisions/09aabd4a344e045eb3a554f47fb7f1f6
Hi,
Also adding my voice to this issue, I have two laptops both have the same
problem downgrading from 1.7.1-1 (testing) to 1.6.2-2 (stable) fixes the
problem. As Markus Huber stated if you're running KDE this will cause
System Settings -> Input Devices -> Touchpad to segfault.
Kitty
I've done as instructed by the previous commenter I note changes are listed
on the bug report page to solve this issue.

Basically I used to use a script to get the packages that debsecan gave as
having security issues and give them to aptitude so they could be
selectively updated. I am unable to do this now due to it not specifying if
the package is of a foreign arch' when using multiarch. I guess this could
be seen
I'd like to note this also seems to affect Iceweasel as both Pidgin and
Iceweasel seem to periodically freeze on my testing install now, I hope a
fix will come to the repos soon.
Hi,
My apologies this bug does seem to be already in the upstream version in
the current repositories, I
seem to be running into a bug that has similar results but isn't the same
one sorry for the trouble.
