Do you have any logs, screenshots, etc to explain "failed to do"?
What state was the system in? Your report doesn't show partitioning
information, etc.

I've packaged it up and put it online at:
http://www.omnitech.net/debian
this includes the build log as well as the dpkg-buildpackage outfiles.
What I did:
renamed *php4* to *php5*
sar on every file with php4 to php5 except:
copyright still says it was based off of php4-pgsql
change
Package: telnet-ssl
Version: 0.17.24+0.1-7.1.1
Severity: normal
telnet-ssl will disable SSL negotiation, which is by design per the man page,
if connecting to localhost. -z secure does not override this.
This fails when telnetd-ssl is using -z secure. ie, if you disable non-ssl
fallback on tel
Package: php4-mcrypt
Version: 3:4.3.10-2
Severity: important
I wasn't sure whether to report against php4-mcrypt or against the missing
package.
I'm not sure if it's a *bug* that the package doesn't exist; however,
Lack of this package prevents the use of php5 with phpmyadmin, among others.
