I tried upgrading to kde-window-manager ver. 4:5.3.2-3 yesterday and
once again it completely broke my desktop (could not close any windows,
no programs functioned, etc.). I went back to version 4:4.11.13-2. I
have put the package on hold until a solution is found.

Hi all,
I just got the bug described hear in testing. I tried the solution:
removing plasma-scriptengine-python package and things are back to
normal. Thanks to all of you. Never forget: Debian (and Debian users) rocks!

The latest squeeze update (~07:30CET) solved the problem. It includes an
upgrade to libkdecore5 and did not cause any dependency issues. RESPECT

As I mentioned in by original bug report I didn't think it was a 2.6.30

but userspace policy." but where does that leave me exactly? Can anyone
