hat would indeed be the proper fix, so reassigning this bug to ntpdate.
(The fact that hwclock has historically papered over this bug should not be
used as an argument for forcing systemd to similarly paper over it, as bugs
should generally be fixed at their source.)

1.42.9-1, and 1.42.8-1, all with the same result.

Such a patch would be a bit more difficult, as we would want to make the
changes
only for rcS.d scripts, not regular sysv init scripts, but if you still are
convinced not to go with my simpler aproach I'm willing to give it a try.

When lxc detects that the lxc directory is on a btrfs filesystem it will create
a separate subvolume for the rootfs. However, the lxc-debconf template does not
expect the rootfs directory to exist, and simply copies the cache direct
hook script support multiple rootdevs and adds
support for finding all rootdevs for a btrfs filesystem. Someone should
probably add zfs-fuse support to get_root_devices() as well, but I don't have
any zfs filesystem to test with...
