I ran into this very same problem after an upgrade of my desktop system
from squeeze to wheezy. After reading this bug report I checked and the
nvidia drivers in unstable are 304.37, so I upgraded to those packages

I just ran into this bug using make-kpkg to compile the newest
linux-3.2.1 kernel on squeeze.
As a workaround simply linking the virtual/lguest/ directory from the
Documentation folder of the source tree will solve the problem. For
example:
