Hi,
I forgot to mention that this bug triggers a unit test failure in Lucene
2.2.0 (Debian package liblucene2-java), meaning the the Lucene package
cannot be built using gcj, and so cannot go into Debian main (it is build
using the Sun toolchain now).

Hi all,
I think libaxis-java should depend on (or at least suggest)
libcommons-logging and libcommons-discovery. The simplest example
from the axis docs (TestClient.java) needs these two to run (it compiles
without).
Cheers

Hi all,
I'm working on packaging Solr, which depends on version 1.2 of
libcommons-fileupload. It's not compatible with version 1.0 which is now in
Debian. 1.0 is from
2003; 1.2 was released in February 2007.
Please update libcommons-fileu
Hi there,
I'm currently packaging Solr, a servlet with a set of .jsp pages, based
on Lucene, providing an enterprise search server. It works fine under
Tomcat, but accessing a .jsp page under Jetty gives:
17:46:46.522 INFO [main]
org.mortbay.http.SocketListener.start(SocketListener.java:204) >11
I've started work on this package.
Status so far (release 1.1.0-0jp2):
- Web servlet installs and works under tomcat 5.5 on one machine, but
has trouble finding the lucene class files on another
- .jar-files in upstream source are replaced with .jars in
/usr/share/java (from existing Debian packag

I've started work on packaging phpesp. I'm using webapps-common, which is not
in the pool yet, so the phpesp package will probably start its life in
experimental, or outside of the pool altogether.

There is no online survey package in Debian at the moment. A quick
web scan suggests that phpESP is a good candidate to fill that gap.

Lucene has released version 2.0.0, which is mostly source compatible
with 1.4.3 which is in Debian now. Release 2.0.0 contains a number of
bug fixes, but most importantly, many extras such as hit highlighting
(in lucene-highlighter-2.0.0.jar).
