/usr/lib/kde3/libklashpart.la
file.
For testing purposes I've rebuild such a file
(taking libfsviewpart.la from konq-plugins as an example)
... and the plugin has been loaded.

after compiling preload myselve and a bit of debugging,
I've discovered that the preoblem I ran into was a bad configuration...
mapprefix = !/dev
exeprefix = !/dev
...caused the problem...
mapprefix = !/dev;/
exeprefix = !/dev;/
... fixed it
please decrase severity to wishlist
...

After uninstalling the current testing version octave-forgre=2005.06.13-2
octave-2.1 started correctly on my system.
Therefore I've installed the unstable version octave-forge=2005.06.13-4 .
