Something interesting happened after upgrading hal. When I
logged in the next morning, a CD that had already been mounted
for the last few days (by gvm on /media/cdrecorder) showed up
as mounted on nautilus (changed icon on computer:///) and its
icon appeared on the desktop. I thought the
Experiencing exact same problem with USB media and CDs. However
when mounting a floppy using nautilus (computer:///) the floppy
disk is mounted on /media/fd0 and the icon for the floppy device
shows up on the desktop normally.
