My bug report was for debian/hurd.
Changelog indicates that dependencies have only been changed for debian/freebsd.

According to dpkg-parsechangelog --help and man dpkg-parsechangelog,
dpkg-parsechangelog -l changelog is supposed to parse the file changelog.
Instead i get "dpkg-parsechangelog: unknown option `-l'".

I found this error message in a black screen in tty7 while gdm was
trying to spawn itself in tty8.
