By the way, with some work and some help from debian-italian mailing
list, i discovered it was not an amarok bug, but something in
Package: amarok
Version: 1.4.0a-1
Severity: normal
after upgrading to version 1.4.0 amarok doesn't load ogg files anymore,
claiming these files are unplayable. compiling package from source using
apt-build doesn't help
