python 2.6 deprecates the md5 library used by syslog-summary in favour of
hashlib. As a result, every time
syslog-summary runs under python2.6 it produces the following working:

This is a bug in the bash built-in version of time, not the "real" time
command (/usr/bin/time).
/usr/bin/time does not exhibit this behaviour.

This seems to be fixed with v0.5.8.1-2 - hald now starts properly with
the rest of the dbus stuff.

Today's upgrade of python2.3-gtk2 to v 2.6.1-2 seems to have fixed
this problem for me.
Probably #299359 is fixed too.

Wouldn't it be nice if rhythmbox could save its state between
sessions.
So if I quit and restart, it should begin by playing the same track it
was playing before - ideally at the point where it left off.

If you try to start/restart mysql-server as root, and root has TMPDIR

of an X bug than a gdm bug.
The second approach would be to find some way to modify the gconf
settings for the gdm user that gdm runs as; you could then specify the
screen dpi, or just set a big font for the gdm user... I think one of
the previous methods would be better though
You can set the dpi of a gdm session in /etc/gdm.conf (eg, look for
the setting of "command=" in the [server-Standard] section; just add "-dpi
110" or whatever).
If this is a bug it is a documentation bug at most.
