I'm seeing the same problem. I did a dist-upgrade of unstable on April 3rd and now any attempt to start a jabber session causes pidgin to SEGV in __xmlRaiseError in libxml2 (2.6.32.dfsg-5). Specifically, at line 612 of error.c in libxml2, schannel is called with what appears to be a bad function
