We at Six Apart have just put up the plugin here:

It should fix the problem. All it does is remove the date slider / stats /
chart from the Movable Type dashboard.

First, make sure the debconf priority is set to "high".
In the db-test-multidbtype-2.0 directory from
/usr/share/doc/dbconfig-common/examples edit the debian/config file. Add
the line:
