Please import zabbix 1.3.x beta branch (which will become 1.4 release in
the future) into test/unstable if that is possible. It has some
extremely useful features which 1.1.x version is missing.
This is the same bug that does not permit to perform log rotation in
zabbix.
Log rotation is broken now (agent sometimes dies during log rotation,
that's why log rotation should be disabled until this is fixed).
I believe before it was blamed on stderr being incorrectly closed but
