This bug seems to appear randomly. At some point of running my laptop shuts

Hi,
After updating gajim to 0.16.1 it softlocks my laptop right on launch. Laptop
reacts with following:
1) Display image is not frozen. E.g. mouse pointer can show 'loading'
animation if it was showing it during softlock
2) Unable to contro
I experience this issue too. If needed, i can attach my logs / specifics
of my setup - please don't hesitate to ask.

This bug also affects Wine from winehq.org source: configure scripts
can't detect sound system (ALSA) and several other libraries properly.
Linking asm folder to arch-specific directory with actual header
resolves issue.

I didn't find any workarounds. I'm not a pro debian engineer though.
As for xorg - you may check its verion via X -version in terminal.

Wrong, Lenny and Squeeze atm have xorg 1.4.

Just wanted to say that i'm getting similar issue with both radeon and
radeonhd drivers on xen-enabled amd64 kernel.
Other machine with nvidia card and nv driver on x86 xen-enabled kernel
doesn't experience such defect. So probably it's ati-specific.
