I'm sorry.. Will try to avoid such errors in the future :) The last part about the "conflicts", may be true, due to epiphany not working at all with the package "j2re1.4" installed, at least on amd64. That, in my opinion, is a show-stopper bug for most people, and such a pretty serious prob

Well, the file (/usr/lib/j2se/1.4/jre/plugin/amd64/mozilla/libjavaplugin_oji.so) was installed by j2re1-4 from blackdown, non-free indeed. Ofcourse a better handling of failing plugins would have been nice. To close this bug is maybe not the right thing to do until issues with plugins beh

Well, it seems like /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so was the problem here. Removing it makes epiphany start and iceweasel not crash. Where the plugin came from is unknown, this is a newly installed Lenny/amd64 installation.. dpkg knows nothing about this file. -- To UNSUBSCRI
