I suggest the patch (in attachment) to correct this bug.
I am note quiet sure that this is the right way to do things,
but I didn't see any strange thing after some tests.

All works well with this version. I can run xterm via dmenu, and then
run vim while LD_PRELOAD is set.

I get a "Erreur de segmentation" message.
This seems to happen only with the last version of xpdf (3.02-1.
