Some recent changes in dpkg-dev are causing a regression building a deb package.
The error I get is as follows:

Hi Tobias,
Sorry about the delay. Finally I could try the patch and libdrizzle4 seems
to be working fine with it.
I'd appreciate if you could add this to the drizzle build to have a
working libdrizzle4 package.
Thanks,

Package: libdrizzle4
Version: 1:7.1.36-stable-1
Severity: important
There is a bug in libdrizzl4 which effectively makes
it useless when using a unix domain socket:

The old libdrizzle0 worked properly and was available
in squeeze but has been remo
Hi,
The original dictionary files are not removed because these are part of
other packages (edict, kanjidic) and there are other packages in debian
which depend on these.

Hi,
This issue is caused most likely because you are trying to use euc-jp
encoded dictionary files. Gjiten needs utf-8 encoded files.

I had the same problem with wcfxo reporting "probe of :09:01.0 failed

Found the patch below at http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/X100P+clone ,
this solved the issue for me.

Hi,
I believe this bug is fixed in gjiten-2.6 which is already in testing, so
this can be closed.

Hi,
What's the status of this bug? The problem still persists for me with
libetpan8-0.46-2 and libgnutls13-1.4.2-1.
I'm on i386, so I don't think it's arch specific.
The only way to use sylpheed-claws-gtk2 is to rebuild libetpan with
openssl instead of gnutls.

Programs linked to libefence hang after an update to libc6-2.3.6 from 2.3.5 on
i386 using a 2.4 kernel.
The problem didn't occur on 2.6.16.
It's likely that the locking code in efence.c needs fixing.
