after some test I see that:
sometimes r2e can't retrieve info from feed, but doesn't have a timeout and
wait forever
when r2e is running, if you run another copy it would lock

The problem is not only in kmail when connection to pop3.
KMail can't access internet at all.
Same problem with konqueror and kweather, but knode and kopete works.

Clicking check mail show a popup with "host unknown".

I had the same problem, but with konsole, using the colour schema black on
light yellow with linux character.
But the problem solved after one of last upgrade, now the background is always
black.

With the patch you solved the problem for kernel 2.6, but now the
problem is in kernel 2.4.
Loading the driver give the error "quickcam: Unknown symbol
remap_pfn_range".
