I understand that associating gimp with pdf is correct. So this isn't a bug in
gimp, or at most "wishlist". However, opening gimp by default instead of a pdf
viewer, has a "grave" impact on usability for desktop users. It is even so
"grave" that I can imagine that users switch to another Linux dist

Hi Zixing,
The newest stable upstream release is advertised in more than one way allowing
to write regular debian/watch files. Here below I give two working examples.

Hello Zixing Liu,
Can I view an example of a package in Debian that can be watched with such
extension of fakeupstream? The link https://static.rust-lang.org/dist displays
an error in xml format. A real example would help me understand the context.
Ciao,

Hi Robert,
This package has been removed from Debian some time ago. Are you sure that
bringing it back has good value?
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=870935
Also, there should be an ITP (not to be confused with an RFS with [ITA]).

Looking at the commits, it just follows debian.
Hello,
For packages not yet in debian, there must be an ITP as meant here:
