in prerm script of dirmngr (/var/lib/dpkg/info/dirmngr.prerm), the construct:
invoke-rc.d dirmngr stop || exit $?
may fail (exit>0) thus making upgrade impossible.

I have here a Squeeze 64 host that shows the same problem explained by Arto

I updated it to the latest updates / proposed updates yesterday (22-08-2011).

I've also used preseed to setup the keyboard.
In the documentation it's explained that "early questions" are defered thank to
"auto" cmdline argument [1]
I've this in the preseed file:
d-i debian-installer/locale string en_US
d-i console-keymaps-at/keymap select French

similar problem with missing :
/usr/share/evolution-data-server-1.10/glade/e-name-selector-dialog.glade
This cause evolution to crash every time on reply button.
Quick workaround (as root) :
# cd /usr/share
# ln -s evolution-data-server-1.12 evolution-data-server-1.10
