This bug no longer affects my system, and appears to be resolved.
When I press the power button, the action assigned to it in
xfce4-power-manager settings is performed
Quadrapassel package version 1:3.0.2-2 still doesn't work for me. I
tested it in Xfce and Gnome 3. It printed no information or errors.
