The menu item for crack-attack starts right up into a solo game. This is
because it passes the -1 option to crack-attack. This is no longer
necessary because, if there are no arguments, a GTK+2.0 based GUI will
appear and allow the player

The first 75% of the diff is the configure script, but the rest does have an
actual patch to add sound playing and such.
There used to be a webpage describing the patch, but that seems to have
disappeared now. The sounds
