I changed out the local plugins and still had crashing. So I disabled the remaining plugins and started a new debug session. I disabled in the GUI because the safe-mode flag did not seem to work in the command line recommended for sid: LANG= /usr/lib/icedove/run-mozilla.sh -g /usr/lib/icedove/
