I am still active as maintainer of this package. The upstream source
has changed very little so I did not think it necessary to update the
package. However there are a few lintian warnings and an out of date
standards version, so I will package the latest release and upload it
shortly.

I can reproduce the test failure reported with a chroot sid as of
2007-04-05. In addition, other tests, such as t9105-fetch-local.sh
are failing as well.
